WHAT WE DO
ACCESS TO CREATIVE LEARNING
Messums Creative offers a unified platform for research, participation, and innovative programming. Access to creative learning is provided through community outreach, education programmes, workshops, courses, residencies, talks, events, and films. We believe art, as a common language, can build empathetic bonds, and that actively creating together allows people to understand and connect with one another.
THOUGHT SHOPS
At the heart of our work are Thought Shops—participatory spaces where people can reflect, experiment, and exchange ideas. Like a café for creativity, Thought Shops provide accessible opportunities for learning, collaboration, and imaginative problem-solving. They are designed to be replicable, exploring solutions to shared challenges such as high street regeneration, and demonstrating that small, targeted investments in creative activity can generate high social value in wellbeing, hope, and resilience.
