Messums West is a leading multi-purpose gallery set inside a restored 13th-century tithe barn in Tisbury, Wiltshire. It brings together artists, writers and thinkers from the UK and beyond in a space where exhibitions, ideas and creative practice can be developed, tested and shared.
Exhibitions & Events
Messums West presents a year-round programme of exhibitions, events, performances and talks spanning sculpture, painting, photography, installation, film, performance and more. Programming also includes regular symposia, specialist showcases and interdisciplinary responses to contemporary issues.
Working with Community & Learners
The venue offers free-access days for schools and educational visits, community engagement events, talks and workshops that connect audiences with artists and ideas.

MESSUMS STUDIOS WEST
Messums Studios West is the educational branch of Messums West and part of Messums Creative Ltd. Charity no: 1214246.
The Tisbury-based pioneering multi-purpose gallery and Art Centre established Messums Studios in Chilmark in July 2021 as a teaching art studio. Its aim was to support life-long creative learning with the emphasis on the individual’s development of creative language through the tuition of making skills and material knowledge.
