At Messums, we believe that art education thrives when students are given the space to explore, experiment and engage directly with creative practice. Through our unique combination of working studios, gallery spaces, and artist-led teaching, we offer inspiring opportunities for young people to experience art beyond the classroom and gain insight into contemporary creative practice.
WHAT WE OFFER...
Our Educational Outreach programme is designed to complement and enhance existing curricula whilst encouraging curiosity, confidence and independent thinking. Working closely with schools, we develop bespoke experiences that can support students at every stage of their artistic journey.
Our aim is not simply to teach techniques, but to nurture creativity, resilience, critical thinking and a lifelong engagement with the arts.
Sessions can be delivered within your school, at Messums Studios and Messums West Gallery, or through a combination of all, allowing students to experience professional gallery and studio environments whilst engaging directly with artists and makers.
