Artist Kaori Kato delivers paper sculpture workshops in the community

Artist Kaori Kato was supported on a residency in the UK by Messums Creative in December 2025. During her five-day residency in Lowestoft, she delivered six workshops over 5 days to over 145 participants, including adults, local schools, families, and art students from East Coast College. Sessions included paper folding workshops and a presentation on her career and artistic process. The residency was delivered in partnership with the Seagull Theatre and The Battery of Ideas, a First Light Festival project supported by Arts Council England, East Suffolk Council, and Suffolk County Council.
